Urban Expeditions : The Tree Ride

Pedal along with the C.I.C.L.E.istas and City Tree Experts on Saturday, April 25 at 11:30am for The Tree Ride, a bicycle tour celebrating all things green and leafy. Grab a bike and your camera, and get ready to relax under one of the most historic tree canopies in LA County.

Our pedal-powered tour is a casual, family-friendly ride highlighting one of the most precious assets to our community, the trees! This installment of C.I.C.L.E.’s Urban Expeditions honors Earth Day and meets at Memorial Park, in the heart of Pasadena, and coincides with Pasadena’s Greening of the Earth Festival.

When: Saturday, April 25, 2009

Time: Meet at 11:30am. Ride departs promptly at 12:00 noon

Where: Meet in Memorial Park, in Old Town Pasadena. Riders will gather by the children’s playground area near to Levitt Pavillion and the public restrooms. 150 N Raymond Ave, Pasadena, CA 91103

What to bring: Be sure to bring plenty of water and a snack too. Don’t forget your bicycle, in good running order. (Please have your bike inspected and tuned at least once a year at your local bike shop). All participants under 18 must wear a helmet and be escorted by a parent or guardian. Children under age 9 should be on a tag-a-long, bike trailer, tandem, or other safe child-carrying device.
