Six months to the day after CicLAvia changed the way people think about Los Angeles’ streets, the CicLAvia team will reopen Los Angeles’ streets to cyclists, pedestrians, dodge ball players, picnickers and everyone that is willing to leave their car in park.

The double good news is that the route might be longer than the 7.5 mile route from 10/10/10.  The CicLAvia blog explains:

These will both be on the main 7.5-mile route, possibly with additional new spurs into South L.A., Boyle Heights, and/or Chinatown, depending on how quickly we can work with these communities to get the new route spurs ready.
