Just a reminder that Sunday afternoon, the Los Angeles County Bicycle and Occidental College/UEPI Program, LA Walks and Streetsblog Los Angeles will sponsor a forum for the three candidates trying to replace Ed Reyes in Northeast Los Angeles’ Council District 1.

The forum will be moderated by Occidental College Professor Mark Vallianatos and begins at 1:00 p.m. at Oxy’s Herrick Memorial Chapel Lower Herrick Room, 1600 Campus Rd, Los Angeles, 90041. LACBC’s Bike Ambassadors for the region will host a ride leading to the debate that begins at 10:30 at Greayer’s Oak Park,  Marmion Way and Figueroa, across the street from the Bike Oven in Highland Park.

Also, on Saturday, the Ride Figueroa team  sponsors a ride on Westwood Boulevard. Ride Westwood is an LACBC West Neighborhood Bike Ambassador and Bicycle Coalition at UCLA campaign designed to educate and inform folks about proposed bike lanes on Westwood. Tomorrow’s ride has two starts, one at 10 a.m. at UCLA and one at 11 off campus. Get all the details, here.
