In fall 2013, the City of Los Angeles legalized murals after having banned them for a decade. Join APA LA, Council District 14 Planning Director Tanner Blackman, and Cindy Schwarzstein of Cartwheel Art for a tour highlighting the murals of the Arts District and what the new Mural Ordinance means for LA’s urban environment and its role as a major art city. After the tour, we’ll stop by Angel City Brewery for drinks and discussion.

The Arts District features murals by RISK, Shepard Fairey, Vyal, Dabs & Myla, Anthony Lister, How and Nosm, JR and Ron English, among other acclaimed artists. Tour guests will be provided a souvenir map designed by Arts District designer Carlos Rodriguez that lists the murals, along with points of interest and businesses in the area.
