What does food sovereignty look like? How do we get food sovereignty into food deserts? This ride explores South L.A., one of Los Angeles’ very own food deserts, and visiting edible gardens that are helping to pave the way for food sovereignty in South L.A. There will be a presentation and discussion on how those gardens helped change city policy, and what some people in Mexico and Guatemala are doing to establish their own food sovereignty.
