Support affordable housing, parking reform, and L.A. bike non-profits this week!

• Monday 10/26 – The L.A. County Board of Supervisors will consider a motion by Supervisors Ridley-Thomas and Kuehl fostering (and importantly: funding) more affordable housing. The meeting starts at 9:30 a.m. at the County Hall of Administration at 500 West Temple. Details on the meeting agenda and at Move L.A.
• Wednesday 10/28 –  The Los Angeles City Council hears the long-awaited recommendations of Mayor Garcetti’s Parking Reform Working Group. There are also a few other items on the agenda: car-sharing, CSULA Metrolink station, and more. Note the early start time: the committee meeting starts at 1 p.m. at City Hall room 1010. • Thursday 10/29 – The L.A. County Bicycle Coalition hosts its annual Firefly Ball awards banquet starting at 5:30 p.m. at Majestic Hall in downtown L.A. Details at Facebook event.
• Friday 10/30 – The Bicycle Kitchen hosts a fundraiser for Re:Ciclos a new project that engages youth to build cargo bikes. The festivities kick off at 8 p.m. at the Bicycle Kitchen in East Hollywood. Details at Facebook event.
