Streetsblog L.A. Needs Your Donation Today to Stay Strong in 2021

For over a dozen years, Streetsblog Los Angeles has been a loud and consistent voice for more transportation options, equitable transportation spending and policy, and a defender of Los Angeles communities. Even with the ongoing support of the Vida Feliz Foundation, David Bohnett Foundation, and California Endowment, nearly a third of our budget for Streetsblog L.A. comes from advertising and individual donations.

This year, we cancelled or downsized most of our fundraising, but we’re hoping that you’ll help us make that up with our End of the Year Fundraising Drive. Our goal is to raise $50,000 in the next month throughout California, with half of that coming from Southern California.

2020 was clearly a year where many things didn’t happen the way we thought they would a year ago. If anything, this year has highlighted how decisions made by elected and appointed leaders impact our daily lives in profound and sometimes unexpected ways. With our very small team, Streetsblog Los Angeles has continued to make sure you have access to important information about ongoing legislation, changes at agencies that make important decisions, and how to be involved in or just keep track of those decisions.

We can’t do it without the support of our readers. If you can, we hope you’ll consider making a donation to Streetsblog California so our small team can keep at it. In the coming weeks, you’ll hear more about how our coverage has impacted policies and projects throughout the state, and what we plan for 2021. Meanwhile, we’d be honored if you’d consider donating today.donation button
