• Wednesday-Thursday – 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. – The North 710 “We Just Want To Spend $6B On Big Freeway Tunnels” hearings continue. Wednesday’s hearing is at La Canada High School Auditorium. And Thursday, the hearing is in the city of L.A.’s El Sereno/Lincoln Heights neighborhoods at Los Angeles Christian Presbyterian Church. Full details here.
• Thursday – 6 p.m. – The Transit Coalition invites you to a talk by Mark Linsenmayer, Director of the Metro Public-Private Partnership Programs, on “Unknowns revealed on Metro P3 & Capital Mega Projects.” The talk takes place at Metro headquarters, May 7, at 6 p.m. More details at Eventbrite.
• Thursday – 6 p.m. – The Foothill Gold Line Construction Authority is hosting a series of free open house events to inform the public about the next phase of the project, which would extend the Gold Line from Azusa to Montclair. The last open house is this Thursday, May 7, at 6 p.m. at Palomares Park Community Center in Pomona. Details here.
• Sunday – 8 a.m. – Wear a skirt (guys too!), bring a friend, and celebrate Global Women’s Cycling Day. CycloFemme 2015 features the L.A. River bike path and much more! • NEXT Monday – plan ahead for bike week events: 6 p.m. at Caltrans HQ, downtown: “Is Bicycling In Your Future?” (Um, any one else not crazy about that title? or the “cycling in L.A. is for the fearless” blurb? Are bike events with titles written by people who bike in your future?) and C.I.C.L.E. kicks off Bike Week Pasadena.
