Because I skipped doing the "Week in Livable Streets Events," I missed writing about some of the events that are going on this weekend.  In addition to the Bike to Work Week events in Pasadena, Culver City, and Glendale tomorrow; there are a couple of events this weekend that deserve a little more attention than the calendar section.

Saturday – Bikeside Speaks at 5:30 at the Bikerowave.  We talked about this earlier in the week.  You can find all the details here, except two…joining the activists in their presentations is Marcy Winograd, a contender for the Congressional seat for the 36th District in California and Bill Rosendahl, the City Councilman for the Westside and Chair of the City Council Transportation Committee.  Jeesh, and I would have went just because I haven’t seen Sara Bond in over a year.

Sunday – The Bicycle Kitchen is hosting a fundraiser like no other from noon until late into the night.  Different events include a ride, weenie roast, movie viewing, music, food, fun and games.  You can get all the details off this great poster.  The Kitchen is located just north of the intersection of Heliotrope and Melrose.
