The next two weeks tend to be quieter than usual with Easter and Passover celebrations and services popping up on the schedule.  Nevertheless, there are some big ones out there, including decision day at SCAG.

• Wednesday – The City of Malibu is working on the design for the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) Bike Route Improvement Project. The objective of this project is to improve the existing bike route and promote safety for all modes of travel between the western city limit and Busch Drive.  Get the details on their latest meeting, here.
• Wednesday, Thursday – After what seems like forever, the Southern California Association of Governments will vote on its 2050 Regional Transportation Plan and Sustainable Communities Strategy.  Regional planning can be a tricky issue, and its not always easy to measure the real-world impacts, but past SCAG plans have been, well, not so good.  And look around.  The current proposed plan is a step forward, but whether it is progressive enough to meet the standards set by state law remains to be seen.  Get more info on the meeting, by clicking here.
• Saturday – To wrap up the annual Global Health Awareness Week, World Health Day LA is a community-wide health event that promotes healthy lifestyles through physical activity and good nutrition.  This year’s event will be held at the Expo Center soccer fields.  To get details on the event, click here.  To register, click here.
