Groundbreaking set for Sunnynook Park

 

(July 18, 2012: Los Angeles) – Los Angeles City Councilmember Tom LaBonge will join together with Councilmember Eric Garcetti, the Bureau of Engineering, and the Department of Recreation and Parks to break ground for Sunnynook Park, which will occupy a 3.4 acre parcel along the west bank of the Los Angeles River. The park is situated just north of the Glendale-Hyperion Viaduct. This $1.7 million project includes native plantings, picnic areas, and an outdoor classroom. Please join the city family in welcoming this new addition to the City of Los Angeles parks system.

WHEN: Wednesday, July 25, 2012, 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

 

WHERE: Parking will be available at the parking lot at Friendship Auditorium at 3201 Riverside Drive, Los Angeles, CA, 90027. Walk east to the pedestrian bridge.
