The park for everyone celebrates with a BANG! Experience a moment in LA history with unveiling of all 12 acres of downtown LA’s newest green space. Enjoy live music, dancers, aerialists and food trucks cascading down four city blocks.

4:30 pm (between Grand Avenue and Hill Street)
GRAND PARK’S ARTHUR J. WILL MEMORIAL FOUNTAIN
Experience the beloved fountain in a whole new way in Fanfare for Grand Park, with music composed by David O and choreography by Jacques Heim.

5:30 pm (between Grand Avenue and Hill Street)
GRAND PARK’S PERFORMANCE LAWN (Block 2):
A collaboration between Cuban born musicians, Dos y Mas kicks off Grand Park’s World Jazz series as part of Daniel Pearl World Music Days.

6:45 pm (between Hill Street and N Broadway)
GRAND PARK’S COMMUNITY TERRACE (Block 3):
The grand moment — witness a moment in LA’s history when all 12 acres of Grand Park officially open.

7:45 pm GRAND PARK’S EVENT LAWN (Block 4):
Vertical dance company Bandaloop performs the LA premiere of Bound(less) suspended from climbing ropes attached to City Halls’ exterior, with live music by the Dana Leong Trio.

The creation of “Bound(less)” was made possible by major funding from The Wattis Foundation, The James Irvine Foundation, The Kenneth Rainin Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts and Bandaloop’s Anchor Circle of individual donors.  Bandaloop is generously funded by the William and Hewlett Flora Foundation. Bound(less) is an original commission by the Segerstrom Performing Arts Center.
