Thanks to ARTCRANK, Now Let’s Party with Joe and Carrie on Saturday!

We interrupt your regularly scheduled programming to give a big “thank you” to ARTCRANK, Orange 20 Bikes, a small army of artists, Clif Bar, Widemer Brothers Brewing, Neenah Paper, the handful of volunteers that pitched in, and everyone that showed up to share in the revelry, view the bike art or make a purchase. The good people at Orange 20 had so much fun on Saturday that they agreed to extend the show through the rest of the week.

You never know who you'll see at a Streetsblog event. Mike Bonin, City Council Candidate in CD11 and current Chief of Staff for Bill Rosendahl, chats super heroes with a caped Streetsblog writer. Photo: Sean Arian

A purchase of the official “ARTCRANK” poster for Los Angeles or a bid on the paper bike sculpture benefits Los Angeles Streetsblog. So go, buy, bid!

The ARTCRANK folks were traveling back to Minneapolis yesterday, so I don’t have official numbers on how we’re doing so far, but there was nearly $1,000 in cash in the beer register when my shift behind the bar was over.

For anyone intereste in making a trip to Orange 20, to view the posters, the hours are after the jump. If you want to help Streetsblog reach our $10,000 “end of the year fundraising goal” you can make a donation here or join us on Sunday for a bike ride and after-party to celebrate the engagement of Joe Linton and Carrie Lincourt. More on that event, tomorrow. Here are the remaining hours for the ARTCRANK exhibit at Orange 20:
