We all at LA Streetsblog hope everyone is having a happy and safe holiday season. Normally after Christmas you’d expect to see us resume our regular coverage and announce nominees for the 2012 Streetsie Awards, but we have decided to postpone returning to our regular streets-blogging until after the new year.

Unfortunately, our fearless leader Damien Newton has encountered a bout of pneumonia. Damien is recovering well now, but he’ll be on the shelf until early January.
