The Abbreviated Week in Livable Streets Events

Is this a week where everyone tells me what I missed right after I post, or is everyone just expecting a post-election hangover? Maybe everyone is busy partying at the national bike summit in D.C.? Enjoy the freezing weather, kids!

  • Monday – Comments are due on the EIR for 39.5 miles of Bike Plan projects. The city held a series of meetings on these projects, and Streetsblog managed to cover meetings on the Westside and South L.A. Email comments to david.somers@lacity.org. Get more information at the links above, or by clicking here. You have until 5 p.m today.
  • Monday – Do I make a joke about a film called “Greedy Lying Bastards” being screened the night before the election? Too obvious? The film details the debunking, defunding, and denial of the effects of global warming financed by multinational oil conglomerates. For more info on the film, check out www.greedylyingbastards.com. Proceeds go to the LACBC’s Climate Ride Team. Get more details, by clicking here.
  • Tuesday – It’s election day. Vote. Read our “voting guide” that will be posted momentarily.
  • Friday – Well, that was a busy week. You must be exhausted. Relax with “Art Ride Pasadena.” The ride is exasctly what it sounds like, but if you need more details or want to go to the ride, click here.

Did we miss something? Is there something we need to cover next week? Email Damien@streetsblog.org.
