I thought Bike Month was over. It’s a pretty bikey week. Plus, there’s a big party on Saturday in Grand Park. And, last but not least, there’s one of the biggest rides in Los Angeles happening this weekend, the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition’s River Ride.

• Monday – Ride Colorado!, the LACBC’s outreach effort in Northeast Los Angeles, is holding a community forum with Councilman Jose Huizar to discuss…wait for it…bike lanes on Colorado Blvd.!  The meeting is tonight at 7 at the Eagle Rock Center for the Performing Arts. Get more details, here.
• Wednesday – Guess what’s back? It’s Tour LaBonge! Bike around the city with long-time Council Member who serves on the Transportation Committee and sends out cool calendars to people. There’s rides all summer, starting at 6 pm. The first starts at City Hall, Wednesday at 6 pm. See the whole schedule, here.
• Thursday – Metro will hold a community meeting to discuss preparation for construction for the first section of the Purple Line Extension on Thursday, June 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, 5905 Wilshire Boulevard in the fifth floor Terrace Room. • Friday – While I was pretty sure CicLAvia is “L.A.’s biggest block party,” you can’t fault the city for trying to throw their own party. This Saturday night, from 5-10 pm, Grand Park will be home to music, food trucks, and other family entertainment including a goodbye to Mayor Villaraigosa and a hello to Mayor-Elect Eric Garcetti.
