The Los Angeles Streetsblog team is taking tomorrow off, but we’ll be back on Thursday and Friday with our regular coverage.  I know Kris is working on a story on a recent Boyle Heights Neighborhood Council meeting, I’m working on an update to A.B. 904 which would eliminate parking minimums in certain situations and Gary and Sahra are working on updates in South L.A. and Santa Monica.

In addition to the July 4th holiday marking the signing of the Declaration of Independence, it also closely follows the end of the fiscal year for a lot of organizations including the Southern California Streets Initiative, the local co-publisher of Streetsblog Los Angeles.  Even without all the awards, and the awards are nice, it’s been another banner year. Readership is growing. We’re finding new ways to take advantage of the Internet medium with SoCal Streetstube and Streetsblog TV, and next year is going to be even better.
