Metro San Fernando Valley Service Council: Chance to Comment on Metro Fare Changes

The March 5 meeting of the Metro San Fernando Valley Service Council will include the opportunity for members of the public to comment on the proposed fare restructuring to take effect in September.

Time has been allocated on the agenda for a “fare forum” to receive public input.  This is not a formal public hearing, but will include a presentation on the fare change proposals and public comment will be recorded and forwarded to the Metro Board.

Information on the proposed options is available on the Metro website:

There is also information on that page on how to submit written comments via e-mail or Postal Service mail.

In addition, there will be a formal public hearing on Saturday, March 29 in the Metro Board Room, beginning at 9:30am.

The March 5 SFV Council meeting will also include the approval process for the June service changes which were the subject of the February 5 public hearing.
