Construction started on SR-71 segment 1 less than two months ago and is already 3-6 months behind schedule. Segment 2, budgeted to cost $40 million now faces a $61M construction funding shortfall.
Downtown L.A.'s Olive Street and Grand Avenue will see new bus-only lanes before the end of 2021. The lanes will operate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays.
The fate of the 710 is being discussed at the Gateway Cities Council of Governments I-710 Ad Hoc Committee, and will soon be discussed at Metro's new I-710 South Corridor Task Force.
