Dealing a blow to Metro's effort to fast-track expansion of the lower 710 Freeway, the federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has mandated that Metro follow air quality laws.

Metro Fareless Pilot Could Start August 2021, Initially for Students

The details are still not finalized, but Metro's Fareless Transit Initiative could start for students in August, then for low-income riders in early 2022.

Irwindale Active Transportation Plan Envisions a Safer, More Bike- and Pedestrian-Friendly Future

The city currently has two bike facilities. The new plan proposes adding 39 bicycle projects and 71 pedestrian improvements over the next 10-20 years. The city council is expected to approve the plan this month.
