Those L.A. County Bike Master Plan meetings roll on.  Speaking of rolling, there’s a fun looking "Midnight Ridazz" event this Friday.  And for those of you who are into policy, there’s a surprise addition to the City Council Transportation Committee meeting (more on that later) for this Wednesday at 2:00.

Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday– Outreach for the L.A. County Bike Master Plan rolls on.  For information on times and places, check out the Streetsblog calendar.

Wednesday – At 2:00 P.M. the City Council Transportation Committee is going to discuss speed limits, and also a proposal that will yield more specific information on how people travel in Los Angeles than ever before.  More on this a little later in the day.

Thursday – We usually don’t preview Long Beach events in "The Week In…," but this local screening of "Riding Bikes with the Dutch" is a must-see.  Drew Reed’s interview with film maker Michael Bauch was so intriguing, that if I weren’t in Pittsburgh; I would be there.  The screening starts at 7:00 P.M. in the Long Beach Art Theatre.  For more information, check out C.I.C.L.E.’s Calendar.

Friday – We also usually don’t promote Midnight Ridazz rides (not that there’s anything wrong with them…quite the contrary actually) but this month’s installment is Power Ranger’s Themed.  If nothing else, you have to check out the poster, which I can’t re-print here for obvious reasons.  Ride starts at 8:30 in Pan-Pac park.

Saturday – Once upon a time, the Los Angeles Times was only providing scant coverage of Metro issues.  Then, David Lazarus wrote a piece about Metro needing to bring more customers, the Mayor fell in love with his ideas, and now we can’t get Lazarus to stop writing about transit issues.  Seriously, we’re trying…but…Anyway, Lazarus is the featured speaker at this month’s meeting of the Southern California Transit Advocates.  Meeting starts at 1:00.  Click here for transit directions and more details.

Saturday – Saturday is also home to an epic benefit concert for the Bicycle Kitchen which they’re titling EPIC BENEFIT CONCERT!  You can get more information on their facebook page.
