It’s Not Too Late to Report Your “Favorite” Pothole for This Weekend’s Operation Pothole

I have no idea if this pothole on Sunset Boulevard was ever filled, this phot is from 20 months ago. But you know what's a really bad sign? When your potholes are growing grass. Photo:##http://www.flickr.com/photos/sreed99342/3532530951/##SReed99342/Flickr##

Back in December, City Council President Eric Garcetti announced that this weekend is “Operation Pothole.”  50 crews will be taking to the street to try and fill 10,000 to 15,000 potholes this weekend.

But here’s the rub.  The city doesn’t know where 10,000 to 15,000 potholes are, so they’re asking for our help.  To request a pothole filling, you have several options.  You can call 311 or 1.800.996.2489 or fill out an online service request form. Even if they don’t get around to your favorite pothole this weekend, reporting it to the city can get it on the list of holes to be filled next time.  And filling potholes is one thing Los Angeles does pretty well.
