Monday – After (literally) years of work, the LACBC and City of Glendale are ready to release the Safe and Healthy Streets Plan.  Funded by a grant from L.A. County Department of Public Health, the plan is designed to provide a plan to make Glendale a better place to walk, bike, play and live as well as make the link between better streets and healthier citizens.  The plan will be unveiled at tonight’s meeting of the Glendale City Council Transportation and Parking Committee.  For more information, click here.

Tuesday – The Southern California Association of Governments provides a “Toolbox Tuesday” lunch event that looks at the impact of mixed-use development (i.e. development with retail and residential components) on making areas safer for pedestrians.  Get the details, here.

Wednesday – The City Council Transportation Committee has been canceled for this week, for the obvious reason.
