Take Back the Boulevard has engaged in a 2-year-long community planning process to develop a long-range vision for Colorado Boulevard in Eagle Rock. The overarching vision is to give Colorado Boulevard more of a “main street” feel. Central to that is shifting Colorado Boulevard away from an emphasis on moving cars toward a more balanced treatment for all travel modes, including new bike lanes and improved pedestrian crossings.

The vision also encompasses longer-range streetscape improvements designed to enhance the commercial vitality of this corridor.  We are holding a party/reception to celebrate completion of the Vision Plan on Sunday, September 29, 2013 from 2pm to 5pm.  Not a wonky presentation, but a casual overview of the plan. In late October, there will be other events focused on new bikes lanes, new and enhanced crosswalks, and other safety improvements to Colorado Boulevard.
